Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey has a rich, full flavor with a hint of fruits and spices. It takes a quality barrel to make a quality whiskey, so we start by selecting the best American white oak for the barrel staves.
This old boy says that it's grate stuff. I can drink it straight. Guess I'll have a drink now.
Whiskey of choice for our drinks.
I am looking for the 1.75 litre Gentleman Jack Whiskey bottle that preceded the current bottle. It had a rounded shape and a long neck. I purchased it in a wooden stand on which the former bottle sat, and the stand and bottle could be used as a pourer. I have the stand, but I lost the bottle when my wife threw it the trash not knowing the bottle design had changed. Can anyone help?
Unfortunately, that round bottle has been discontinued by the company. We will let you know if we come across it in the near future.
Technical Notes Jack Daniel believed "Every day we make it, we'll make it the best that we can." For Jack, that meant mellowing his whiskey drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal. Jack Daniel knew what charcoal mellowing meant for his whiskey, so it's only natural that he’d wonder what a second trip through the charcoal might yield. Throughout his life, he experimented with charcoal mellowing his whiskey twice, once before it went into the barrel and again after it came out.
While Mr. Jack never did produce much whiskey this way, we’re thankful that he saved the recipe. And in 1988 we started making Gentleman Jack, the first new whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in more than 100 years.
