Good structure, supple tannins with a medium finish and good fruit. I like it.
Great quality to price wine!
This is our second purchase of this wine. It is one that I believe is a great value and one that our friends and family enjoy with us. Soft tannins, complex, fruit front, good legs, nice nose. For 20$ don't think you can find better.
I echo every comment here, for $20 I will push it to a 4 star, is it better than a Caymus? No, is it better than a Chimney Rock Tomahawk? No, but slap a $20 price tag on it, I will say YES, simply because I can enjoy this on a daily basis. Placing an order for a case now!
best QPR cab out there
Let's face it, for $20, this could be the best wine available. Sure, there are others and yes, this isn't as heavy as most cab lovers desire, but come on! BF Cab is damn smooth, no harsh tannins, and is very drinkable without a 2 hour resting period.
I am pushing the envelope here giving it a 4-star rating (assuming the universe of wines fits into this 5-star category), but what the hell. For $20, it's worth 4 stars.
This wine has become our favorite. Price, taste, and value are reasons for us to recommend this to our friends.
Excellent wine for the money.Nice finish
This is one of my favorite wines! Priced very well. Several of my friends have purchased this wine after tasting it at my home.
GREAT BOTTLE OF WINE AT A GREAT PRICE !!!
Very pleasant very nice wine. Love it! Grab it while it's available on sale.
So...has anybody had this since October 2011? Is it still drinking well? What do you think of it longevity?
Love this wine!! excellent choice at this price. Rich and Full bodied with nice cherry flavors. This and Tribute are my favorites. Just got three more cases. Love it
A really good wine in this price range. My wife agrees.
This is a very, very nice wine for $20. Enjoy the nice full flavor with a good meal. We shared it with friends at a recent dinner party, all noted that this was a good wine.
Simply a terrific bottle of wine...a must have for any wine cabinet!
For 20 bucks you can't buy a better Cabernet. Must buy.
This very smooth wine is great sipping with a friend, while reading a good book or with your favorite Italian meal! Great buy. Taste like a good $35 bottle. I'd buy it again or tell others about it.
Tasty little number. Drinks like at least a $35 bottle. Grab it while you can! We find ourselves reaching for this quite often...may need more soon!
For the price this wine is a good buy. It has a little bit of that black cherry flavor that finishes very well. I like to call it liquid velvet. I liked it so much I just bought more while it was on sale.
Nothing to write home about...good color but small finish with little to no fruit flavors to talk about.
this guy is crazy. don't believe him whoever he is....
Wine Maker Notes
With over a century of experience in the wine and spirits business, William Grant and Sons is dedicated to offering an excellent portfolio of wines from around the world. We are proud to bring that century of expertise to the Napa Valley to craft Bennett Family Cabernet Sauvignon. At every step from the vine to the bottle, our dedicated Winemaker coaxes greatness from the fruits of carefully selected prime Napa Valley vineyard sites. The result is a seamless wine of uncompromised quality; a wine worthy of our family’s heritage.
Following a 7 day fermentation, the wine was left on the skins for a period of extended maceration; in addition to softening the tannins, this process helps extract maximum color and flavor. Once the wine was gently pressed, it was racked to French oak barrels, 60% of which were new. The wine underwent the malolactic fermentation in barrels to "tame" the new barrel tannins and flesh out the body of the wine. Quarterly rackings ensured that the wine was brilliant in appearance and fully developed in body by the end of its time in barrel. It was bottled after eighteen months of barrel aging.
