I am one of those people who gravitates towards wines with interesting names. The name Stickybeak qualifies. The initial taste was yellow pear, white peach, stone fruit and cashew. The finish was long and creamy, like custard. Try it with a grilled tuna steak or pan seared salmon with an orange ginger sauce.
Wine Maker Notes
Russian River has become one of the most sought-after addresses for California Chardonnay, and for good reason: it produces wonderfully expressive fruit with concentrated flavors and high natural acidity. We have secured two small holdings near Wohler Road that we coveted for their alluvial loam and limestone soils.
