Years ago we tested the " Selection A de Fussigny Cognac"- delicious and great. When and where is this fantastic stuff available?
Please check back in about two days. Wine Chateau will have this back in stock.
Years ago I had a bottle of A DE FUSSIGNY that was a blend of cognac and win. IT WAS PERFECT FOR AFTER DINER. WHAT WAS IT CALLED AND DOES R AND R STILL DISTRIBUTE IT
Hi Keith, if you click on this link you will see our entire selection of Fussignys and yes R&R still distributes it: http://www.winechateau.com/controller.aspx?type=view&info=search&a=ft&v=fussigny
You basically get an extra smooth VSOP for less then a price of VS. My favorite new cognac.
The Cognacs used to make Fussigny Selection are aged an average of 8 years resulting in a subtle and elegant character with notes of vanilla, flower, spices and pepper.
Wine Maker Notes
Our historic cellar located by the bank of the Charentes River, makes for perfect humidity and is ideal for revealing all the aromas of the Cognac. It also allows more alcohol than water to evaporate and creates a rounder, more subtle cognac. Ageing takes place in certified Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels.
Founded in 1814 on the banks of the Charente River by the Italian merchant Alfonso de Fussigny to guarantee premium ageing conditions, A. de Fussigny is one of the smaller but highly rated cognac houses. The proximity to the river make for perfect hygrometry and allows the aromas of the cognac to unfold. It is the only one that still distills its eaux-de-vie in the town center of Cognac itself, its headquarters being the Maison de Fussigny. The product design is extremely different to that of traditional cognacs, the information on the cognac, such as age, name, percentage etc. is handwritten on the label, which makes it very personal.
