Lot 244 is comprised of a "Field Blend" which is grapes grown together in the vineyard as opposed to being grown separately and blended after harvest. This wine combines Zinfandel/Petite Sirah/Syrah/Carignane to form a wonderfully smoky nose interwoven with blueberry, raspberry, and kirsch. The palate is deeply concentrated with silky tannins and a rich, multi-faceted juicy finish.
Very strong wine... Let it aerate to blow off some of the potentcy and you have an OK wine, albeit "Shy and unassuming..".
