Brandy is produced by distilling wine or other fruit mashes two or more times, and some are aged further in wooden casks. Considering brandy is made from wine, the best growing regions for wine are usually also the best regions for brandy and exhibit similar characteristics. This warming spirit is quite different from your average table wine, however. The distilled wine or fruit are processed early on for higher acidity and less sugar.
