This high quality kirsch is necessary for our traditional swiss fondue. My husband is from Switzerland and makes a delicious fondue with the best Gruyere cheese, morels, white wine and this Schladerer kirsch in the mixture. It is truly delicious. We serve this for entertaining and it is always well received. One of the traditions is to have a toast in the middle of the meal called "coup de milieu". We drink a shot of kirsch and it cleanses the palate and changes the taste of the fondue. It is great fun and a social event. It is hard to find kirsch locally. American kirsch tastes horrible, so I've been buying it from Wine Chateau for a couple of years. It is delivered promptly and we really enjoy it.
