Organic is still relatively new to the market, so winemakers are adjusting their practices to include wines deserving of the organic label. The wine must be made from organically grown grapes and contain minimal sulfites (a preservative), which means if your health guru friend brings over a finely aged bottle of organic wine, she probably paid too much.
