There is a widely held misconception that all Rieslings are super sweet. Most Riesling wines run sweet, especially lower-end ones, but dryer Rieslings are also available for those looking to try this multi-dimensional wine. The most notable flavors include apricot, peach, nectarine, pear, apple, pineapple and lemon. Its strong aromas range from honey, ginger and citrus blossom to petrol and rubber more commonly found in aged varieties. The profile of Riesling depends greatly on the growing region, so we recommend ordering several bottles from different regions to compare.

Despite its reputation as an easy wine for the less refined palate, some Rieslings are high sought-after by connoisseurs and winos.
