Ansac cognacs are produced by Jules Gautret, established in 1847 and later acquired to form Unicognac. Their spirits are made from grapes from the Petite Champagne and Fins Bols regions of France. Ansac VS ("very special") cognac is their youngest expression that they suggest serving neat or with ice. They further suggest looking for flavor notes of dried fruits and lime blossoms.
Cognac Ansac is part of the larger company, Jules Gautret, which is in turn part of the much larger co-operation UniCognac. The cognac made by Ansac is produced from grapes from both the Petite Champagne and Fin Bois regions of Cognac. Producing three different grades of cognac, the house has a history that dates back to the year 1847
