Rare Breed -one of the most unique in the Turkey family, great for sipping after a long work day...a must try, if you enjoy great bourbon on the rocks or neat...
Bourbon is a form of Whiskey which originated in the southern states of the USA (notably Kentucky), where the majority of bourbon is still produced today. While there is no single, standard, international definition of bourbon, a number of countries (including Canada and the EU member states) have drafted legislation to protect the name and its usage. In most cases it is a requirement that any spirit labeled bourbon come exclusively from the United States. Interestingly, the bourbon labeling laws in force in the US apply only to those products sold domestically, and not those destined for export. Under NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement of 1994) regulations, Tennessee whisky is classified as bourbon, although a number of well-known Tennessee whiskey producers (Jack Daniels among them) opt not to use the term.
