The growing season had an average rainfall. The rains came in early winter and early spring. The spring rains filled the root zone allowing the vines to grow more quickly than necessary. With water deficit techniques, the vine growth was slowed down and brought into balance by the middle of the season. Despite these challenging growing conditions, the fruit remained in very good shape.
