Giancarlo Frazzitta, one of Italya s finest producers, makes Opici Marsala to our specifications. Dott. Frazzitta uses only Fine (Fee-nay) Marsala from the D.O.C. zone in Western Sicily. The secret of its unique excellence is that it is made without the addition of caramel coloring, cooked with (Cotto) or disguising flavor stretchers such as Mistella or Sifone (combination of grape juice and alcohol). Opici Marsala Fine gets its rich golden color solely from blending in older reserves of Marsala. It is the traditional, neglected method of making quality Marsala. Opici Marsala Fine is a multi-vintage wine. Consistent taste and fragrance are guaranteed by blending in special old Cuvees. Opici Marsala Fine is available in both Dry and Sweet. Both are excellent for drinking and for kitchen use, as a cooking or flavoring agent. Unmatched Value!!

Notes on the Opici Marsala 750ML

Tasting Notes Opici Marsala is a rich, amber colored wine that is produced in a semi-dry style. It is the perfect style to add flavor to chicken or veal Marsala. The flavor is pronounced, but it does not over-power the flavor of the food.

Wine Maker Notes Produced using a similar production method to its European counterpart, this cooking wine is an economical alternative. Opici Marsala is rich and off-dry in style, this versatile flavoring agent is suitable to create both sweet and savory dishes. The flavor is pronounced, but not so much so to overpower other flavors.

Technical Notes Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia.

Food Pairing While this Marsala is usually used for cooking, it is a delightful after dinner wine. Try sipping it at room temperature from a brandy snifter. You may also use it to create a delicious zabaglione served over fresh berries.
