A very subtle, aromatic Cognac. Its subtle vanilla bouquet also has floral overtones of roses and violets, leading into hints of prunes and apricots. Pierre Ferrand Ambre is superbly balanced on the palate. The aromas found on the bouquet linger on the palate for several minutes.
Tasting Notes An amber, almost golden yellow color. The subtle vanilla nose develops floral notes of rose and violet. Fruity plum and apricot aromas, move towards notes of sweet apple and pear pastries. Pierre Ferrand Ambre is fresh and well-balanced on the palate.
Technical Notes Pierre Ferrand Cognac is made with only Grande Champagne grapes, and the unfiltered wine is distilled over lees in small 25 hectoliter copper pot stills. Finally, the spirit is carefully aged in small Limousin oak casks and blended into its final expression. Though the oak lends structure and interest to their spirits, the high-quality fruit remains at the forefront.
