black has always been associated with style and elegance. The little black dress is always a sophisticated choice whereas the traditional tux can transform any man's appearance. But black is also intriguing. It has a hint of mystery, of something waiting to be revealed. This is Johnnie WalkerAR Black Labela" - a deep and complex flavour which is also an unquestionable mark of power and refinement. It is a luxury blend and a luxury brand, with a completely individual personality. As many as 40 whiskies, each aged 12 years or more, make up this satisfyingly complex blend. What does the list price mean? There is no place in the world that charges $133 for JW Black 1.75! Why are you so misleading to the consumer? We want to know how much we will really save, not some made up savings. Thanks

The importers of Johnnie Walker create different packaging from time to time. Most likely it is a normal bottle.

This is a great whiskey. If you're looking for a great gift, this is a wel-priced and generally well-appreciated option.

Many connoisseurs would probably rate Johnny Walker Blue Label and the Gold above the Black, but the Black with it's complex blend makes any man feel like a Million Bucks, and if you already have a million in the bank then im sure you'll enjoy a true sophisticated gentleman's whiskey ... CHEERS !!!

Notes on the Johnnie Walker Scotch Black Label 12 Year 1.75L

Technical Notes Johnnie walker is one of the most recognized and most widely distributed scotch whisky brands in the world. originally sold by john walker in 1820 at his grocery store under the name walker's kilmarnock whisky, it was not until his death in 1857 when his son alexander walker and grandson alexander walker ii made the brand popular.

In 1906-1909 under the control of john's grandson alexander ii and his other grandson george paterson walker the brand expanded and obtained its current name and look.

Alexander walker had previously introduced the signature square bottle and the angled label in 1870 but it was alexander ii and george who introduced the colored labels and in 1908 the managing director james stevenson suggested renaming the brand from walker's kilmarnock to johnnie walker.

This was also the time when the iconic striding man figure, designed by tom browne and modelled after the founder john walker, was introduced as the johnnie walker logo.
