Great product and quick arrival. Very happy with the price. I completed order on line and didn't have to contact anyone. They email the tracking number once item has shipped, so you know when someone needs to be home to receive it. When there are free shipping specials, it is worth ordering from wine chateau. Very reasonable and convenient!
The product was good. I give it 4 stars.
However, Wine Chateau gets 2 stars.
Communicating with these guys is impossible. I placed an order for this product on September of 2013 and this is what happened:
Unlike many other sites that estimate how long it will take for your product to arrive, Wine Chateau does not give you an estimated delivery date. I needed this product for a gift, but I figured I had enough time to receive it even with the most affordable shipping option.
Only after I had paid for the product, did I get an email 24 hours later telling me that the product was out of stock.
I emailed these guys twice and called and left messages to try to figure out when they were gonna have it on stock and also to upgrade the shipping method. I made it clear in all my messages that I would pay for the extra shipping charges but I never got a reply back.
It wasn't until the product had been shipped - 3 days later - that somebody emailed me saying the product had been shipped - through the regular shipping method, meaning they never upgraded it despite multiple requests.
This puzzles me. If you hadn't shipped the product anyways, why couldn't you upgrade the shipping and communicate with me??
I gave Chateau 2 stars because their site is really easy to use and they have good prices. If you are just curious to try out a product, this site may work for you. However, if you have questions or need to communicate with somebody, shop somewhere else.
Ouzo has its roots in tsipouro, which is said to have been the pet project of a group of 14th century monks living in a monastery on Mount Athos. One version of it was flavored with anise. This version eventually came to be called ouzo
Ouzo loves the sun, tasteful “meze” and good company. Small bites, sharp (spicy) and appetizer flavors. “Meze” is a selection of small dishes served to accompany alcoholic drinks like ouzo as a course or as appetizers. The key element of Ouzo-meze is variety. The contrast and the richness of flavors are necessary to have the best ouzo- experience. An “Ouzo-meze” may consist of seafood dishes such as grilled octopus, satled fishes such as sardines, lakerda or kolios. All may be included, along with fresh salads, fava beans, grilled cheeses, called saganaki and olives. Do not forget to try steamed shellfish and sea urchin. How to serve your Ouzo MITILiNIServe Ouzo MITILiNI with cold water (50-50) in a small glass and add ice cubes!Enjoy!
