The rum is great. Very smooth. BUT the shipping process is B.S. someone HAS to be home that is 21 to sign for this. If you work during the day you are screwed. the fed ex driver kept coming the same time every day around 11:00 a.m. after 3 attempts then YOU have to go pick it up or it gets sent back. I will not be ordering this anymore due to the hassel of getting it. I even called fed ex to tell them to come after 4:00. they said they noted the account but the driver isn't obligated to it. they said I would have to pay another $10 to have it delivered when I wanted and I told them to shove it since I already have paid for shipping and I am not paying any more. I emailed wine chateau and they were of NO help.
This coppery, full-bodied rum has a powerful yet refined bouquet of vanilla, orange peel, cocoa and nuts. The finish is spicy and elegant, with caramel notes.
The Estate's over 260-year history and heritage is showcased on the neck label which features the brand's iconic artist's impression of the Appleton Estate scene, and the 21 years' minimum ageing is again highlighted on the cartouche. Appleton Estate 21-year-old Jamaica Rum is a once-a-year limited release that will be sold on an allocation basis, and each bottle will be numbered on the foot label. Each bottle also comes with a certificate of ageing signed by master blender Joy Spence to certify that each of the rums that make up the blend have been aged for a minimum of 21 years in oak barrels.
