This 2009 Louis M. Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon opens with huge aromas of blackberry, plum and vanilla plus and a little bit of a spicy herb. But take a good glug and there's masses of fruit from black cherry to strawberry all interlaced with hints of dark chocolate and even cola. The family have been perfecting Cabernet Sauvignons since 1933 and they're bang on the money with this one - a brilliant, big red which leaves a big impression. The Louis M Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon would add masses of class to any barbecue.
Good color but finish is rather weak...perhaps some aging will smooth out this wine.
This is a luscious and dependable Cab. It really is of exceptional quality for the price
Technical Notes Californian Cabernet Sauvignon specialist. This Martini family has been creating superb red wines in the beautiful Napa Valley since 1933 and this one is a classic. Darkly spiced and superb with good steak.
