I drank a different variety of Montepulciano d"Abruzzo, until I tasted the Folonari on a trip up north, and I got hooked. I was extremely pleased when I found it at Wine Chateau.
Deep ruby red color. Intense, full and fragrant nose recalling prunes and violets. Full, warm, soft but solid with flavor, lingering dried fruit and hazelnut background.
Roasts, hard cheeses, beef.
