Fussigny's XO is a Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie blend, comes in both 70cl and 50cl bottles. The spirit consists of at least 50% Grande Champagne wines, the distilling is traditional. The humid cellars of Fussigny are situated at the river of Charente, pushing aromas to where they are supposed to end up. Like all Fussigny Cognacs, the XO is aged in Tronconnais casks or Limousin oak barrels.
Extremely smooth, me and my friends loved every sip of it.
I gave this as a gift to a friend who loves cognac. His response was that he couldn't wait to try it. I'm sure it will be a hit. I appreciated the detailed information on the website about this cognac; it made the selection process uncomplicated.
I am not an expert, but I do love good cognac and have tried quite a few XO grades. This cognac is excellent and is light and smooth, with body and good taste. It is comparable to XO's that are much more expensive. Drinking it was a delightful experience and I shared it with friends who agree with my assesment.
I am disappointed that Wine Chateau is out of stock.
The excellent cognac from one of famous companies
Great stuff! If the world were coming to an end ...... I would hope to have this bottle beside me while enjoying the very last drop. Truly excellent. Greatly pleased with Wine Chateau: exceptional on price, service and delivery. A quality merchant with a customer-oriented business model.
I previously order 6 bottles and there is a leak on 2 bottles that I received. Please advise. Thanks.
Sorry to hear that 2 bottles leaked during shipping. Please call our 800-946-3190 number and we will switch out the two bottles for you at no cost. Cheers!
Perfect balance between dried fruits, spices (pepper), hazelnut and some floral notes. Rich and elegant palate with hints of plum and liquorice
Wine Maker Notes
Our historic cellar located by the bank of the Charentes River, makes for perfect humidity and is ideal for revealing all the aromas of the Cognac. It also allows more alcohol than water to evaporate and creates a rounder, more subtle cognac. Ageing takes place in certified Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels.
Founded in 1814 on the banks of the Charente River by the Italian merchant Alfonso de Fussigny to guarantee premium ageing conditions, A. de Fussigny is one of the smaller but highly rated cognac houses. The proximity to the river make for perfect hygrometry and allows the aromas of the cognac to unfold. It is the only one that still distills its eaux-de-vie in the town center of Cognac itself, its headquarters being the Maison de Fussigny. The product design is extremely different to that of traditional cognacs, the information on the cognac, such as age, name, percentage etc. is handwritten on the label, which makes it very personal.
