The balance between the dominant Pinot Noir and the smaller percentage of Chardonnay in the Delamotte Rosé gives this wine its beautiful pale rose color. The wine has tiny bubbles with strong red fruit aromas and flavors. It is vivacious, supple and round with a hint of acidity. It makes a wonderful aperitif, as well as a good companion to poultry dishes or red fruit desserts.

Very fragrant, boasting rose, violet, red berry and peach aromas and flavors. Opulent, even creamy, with underlying acidity that freshens the finish and a subtle aftertaste of fruit and spice. Drink now through 2012. –BS

A product of maceration, and 80% Pinot Noir co-fermented with Chardonnay, Delamotte-s NV Brut Rose L10312 is surprisingly orange in color, but its aromas and flavors remind me of the other outstanding bottlings I tasted from this house alongside, incorporating as it does high-toned nut essences; succulent apple and melon fruit - here with hints of strawberry and orange rind; and revealing in its finish a rich, sweet-saline lobster shell reduction that tugs at the salivary glands. This hasn-t quite the textural finesse of those others, as there is a faint sense of black tea smokiness seguing into tanninity; but at the same time, raising the residual sugar to eight grams really doesn-t assuage that, whereas it does engender a slight, detached sense of overt sweetness. But paired carefully, this should serve very well over at least the next couple of years.

Fine and creamy in texture, this well-balanced rose is backed by lively acidity and a streak of smoky minerality. Hints of white cherry, toast, dried lemon peel and almond skin carry through to the lacy finish. Drink now through 2017. 5,000 cases imported.-AN

Notes on the Delamotte Champagne Rose 750ML

Tasting Notes Nice pale rose colour with tiny bubbles. Strong red fruit aromas on the nose On the palate, fruit is dominant too with vivacity and a hint of acidity. Supple and round. The balance between the dominant Pinot Noir and the smaller percentage Chardonnay gives this wine its beautiful pale rose colour and its delicate notes of red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and black currants.

Wine Review 94 Point Wine & Spirits - "This rose bristles with the power and grace of a Vosne-Romanée, though its color is a more delicate salmon pink and its flavors more ethereal. You can breath its red fruit in the finish, where the strawberry notes turn vibrant and mouthwatering. The structure is substantial enough to match meat dishes, or pate de foie."

Technical Notes (80% Pinot Noir/20% Chardonnay). Exclusively from grand cru vineyards. The Pinot Noir is sourced fromvineyards located in the Montagne de Reims area northeast of Epernay, in the villages of Bouzy,Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne. The Chardonnay is from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The wine was made in thetraditional saignee method, extracting color and complexity from the skins during fermentation. Riddlingis performed entirely by hand.

Food Pairing Companion for the aperitif but also served with poultry or red fruits desserts. The Delamotte Rosé can be enjoyed in many ways.Ideal service temperature: 8 to 10 °C.
