Tasting Notes This dark blush wine is produced from the red Merlot grape and was predominantly sourced from grapes grown in the maritime-influenced Sacramento Delta region, including from the winery's estate Delta Ranch.

This delicious wine displays a bright, light red color, and sweet cherry and raspberry aromas. It has soft, round juicy cherry and berry flavors with structure and a full, rich texture. Serve chilled as an aperitif, or as an excellent accompaniment to picnic and barbecue fare, seafood, poultry, ham, and spicy ethnic cuisines.

Technical Notes The history of Sutter Home Winery dates back to the late 1800's, when a Swiss-German immigrant named John Thomann established a small winery and distillery in the heart of California's Napa Valley. Although much has changed for the Trincheros and Sutter Home, the motto and philosophy originated by their father more than a half-century ago remains the same: "A great product for a fair price."
