Falling Star is the second label of Trapiche, one of Argentinaa s leading wineries. Trapiche established, practically single-handedly, Argentinaa s reputation for value and quality.They have come a long way since the first vines were planted way back in 1883. Today Trapiche benefits from the expertise of Dr. Richard Smart from Australia and Francea s Michel Rolland who advise them on the latest techniques of vineyard care and winemaking.The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Cuyo Region. The fruit is hand harvested and transported back to the winery in small plastic crates to avoid damage. The fruit is destemmed and crushed. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures from 24-26A C for 14 days prior to pneumatic pressing. There is a slow malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. There is a period of stabilization and filtration before bottling.Serve this wine with roasts, red meat, grilled vegetables, beef, and BBQ.
