Celebrating a special birthday? Here’s your bottle: one of the few Scotches finished in Caribbean rum casks. Most of the flavor in this bright amber spirit is on the finish, with its lingering Sherried-fruit, caramel and nuts. A splash of water further amps up the flavor. Pairs well with savory game dishes as well as fruit desserts. - K.N.
Huge Glenfiddich drinker for many years and this new bottling takes the cake. I was pleasantly surprised when the shipment came and opened the box. The new single malt is in the same bottle that glenfiddich uses for their 30 year old single malt. The entire package and the scotch inside is just SUPERB!
Not 5 stars because while the flavor is exceptional, the finish is much shorter than I would expect from this level of single malt. I went back to the tasting notes and they didn't mention the finish, so that might be saying something. Otherwise an excellent product.
Please give clear information. On "free shipping deals" page, the informatio is "2 bottle case for 180.97, but inside, there isn't an "add case button" to buy.
After maturing our whisky for 21 years, our Malt Master adds even warmer and richer flavors by uniquely finishing this single malt in first fill bourbon barrels that once contained rum from the Caribbean. The rum-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through. This gives our whisky a sumptuous sweet intensity that is both rich and creamy yet still retains the unmistakable character of Glenfiddich.
Glenfiddich (meaning ‘Valley of the Deer’ in Gaelic) is a place of breathtaking beauty. The vibrant colours of an artist’s palate fill the surrounding hills and forests, while haunting castle ruins and a bubbling natural spring add to the romance. Glenfiddich is little changed since 1886, when William Grant and his nine children rolled up their sleeves to build the Distillery with their bare hands. These same silent warehouses and steamy mash rooms produce the world’s favourite single malt Scotch whisky today. In 1887, William Grant set out to make the best dram in the valley. During this complimentary tour, we will show you the legacy of his endeavours. Discover how the flavour of the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky is created using techniques William himself would recognise. The tour concludes with a tasting of 12, 15 and 18 year old Glenfiddich.
