Technical Notes Charles Tanqueray. (1810-1868), son of a bedfordshire clergyman stes up the bloomsbury distillery in london in 1830. Experimenting over the years with many possible ingredients, Charles Tanqueray finally produced the key balance of ingredients and tanqueray gin was launched.
