St. Germain is an artisanal French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflower blossoms. The starry white flowers are gathered by 40-50 men pedaling the Alpen French countryside picking the flowers that will be distilled into this intoxicating nectar. Blended with a small amount of citrus and natural cane sugar to accentuate the subtle flavor of the elderflowers, the resulting liqueur is delicate and balanced with fresh floral aromas and flavors and hints of pear, apricot and grapefruit zest.
Incredibly fruity and floral with bright flavors of melon, citrus zest, pear, and quince. Silky and viscous while being vibrant and uplifting. No bar is complete without this unique modern icon.
Mix this with Champagne and you get my all time refreshing favorite drink. I even made my husband fall in love with it. The elderflower aromas and taste is very attractive and intoxicating. Well made liqueur.
Technical Notes TO PUT THIS IN CONTEXT, we can safely say that no men will be wandering the hillsides of Poland this spring gathering wild potatoes for your vodka. Likewise, we know of no Bavarians planning to scour the German countryside in search of exotic native hops and barley for your beer. Yes, in this day and age St-Germain is exceedingly special and rare. Consequently, we are able to hand make only very limited quantities.
