After a long winter, blossoming was later than usual, but proceeded well. A moderately warm Junefollowed by a hot July fostered the rapid development of the grapes, thereby making up for the slow start.September was outstanding, but heavy rainfall in late September and early October compelled us to startharvest very early. In order to avoid botrytis, every grape had to be selected extremely carefully. Theresults: a small, but high-quality harvest.
Like only a few other wines from the Middle Mosel, the Ürziger Würzgarten reflects the unique features ofthis vineyard site. A delicate spiciness combined with the typical fruity characteristic (peach of blossom) ofthe Riesling grape and a mouthwatering apple like acidity.
Perfect to be enjoyed on its own or with desserts or blue cheese
