Ardmore Single Malt Scotch has a nose that is full succulent of floral and caramel. It has rich flavors with a burst of creamy peach tang, and a touch of vanilla softness. The finish is very long and savory.
Technical Notes Ardmore is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery and brand name. The distillery is currently owned and operated by the American company Beam Inc.. The distillery was built in 1898 by William Teacher's son, Adam, to secure fillings for their blend (Teacher's Highland Cream). Set deep in the farmland of "the Garioch", near the River Bogie and the village Kennethmont, Huntly, Aberdeenshire. In 1958, two stills were added, with four more stills being added in 1958, thus by 1974 it incorporated eight stills. The distillery has its own cooperage and until the early 2000s used coal to fire the stills.Ardmore single malt is sold at 46% ABV, in bottles embossed with an image of a Golden Eagle. Unlike many single malts, it is barrier, rather than chill, filtered. It is also the main ingredient in Teacher's Highland Cream blended scotch.
