Armand de Brignac is marvelously complex and full-bodied, with a bouquet that is both fresh and lively. Its sumptuous, racy fruit character is perfectly integrated with the wine's subtle brioche accents. Its texture is deliciously creamy and the palate has great depth and impact with a long and silky finish. A superb and singular example of a Prestige Champagne.
Wine Maker Notes All their cuvées are produced in the traditional, old world style, from grape to glass. The wine is a top fraction of first pressing on the traditional Champenois Coquart press, used for a slow, high quality yield. Grapes for the Brut Gold and Rosé cuvées are taken from three terroirs of Champagne’s le Marne department: the Montagne de Reims, the
Wine Review Produced by the award winning Cattier family, owners of Champagne vineyards since 1763. The Chateau is rated “Excellent” in Parker’s Guide of Fine Wines and nominated for “Best Prestige Cuvée”. Production is overseen by master winemaker Jean Jacques Cattier according to strict, family secret traditions. Produced in limited quantities through a traditional, entirely handmade method by a staff of only eight people, each integral to the Champagne’s creation.
Technical Notes Aged in a special section of the cellars, 119 steps (30 meters) underground, considered among Champagne’s deepest. Remuage (riddling) done by hand in traditional wooden racks; bottles are turned slightly by hand each day for a full month. Four genuine pewter labels are fitted to the brilliant pink gold bottle and polished by hand. Each bottle presents subtle differences in the tone, texture, and hues of the beaten metal. Packaged in a stunning black lacquered wood gift box with velvet lining and nameplate certifying the bottle’s authenticity.
