Glenmorangie Signet has the contrast of rich sweetness with an explosive crackle of sizzling spices and bitter mocha. It has a long finish that is fresh spring-like breeze of mint with a bright citrus lemony-green quality. To complement the collaboration between Glenmorangie and Chateau d’Yquem, a partnership between the traditions of whisky creation and viniculture, two renowned designers have been commissioned to encapsulate this story in an object of rare beauty. They are Laurence Brabant and Wouter Scheublin, and they have come together to create a wooden coffret that glides open to reveal a sensual crystal vessel.
This dark and luscious spirit is made using "high roast” malted barley to coax out chocolate and espresso flavors, then married with other "rare and ancient” whiskies. The end result is a burnished copper glow, intense toffee aroma, resonating espresso, nut and toasty oak flavors and a lingering cinnamon-clove finish. Each sip warms all the way down. A soft, warm spirit in glossy, gift-worthy packaging.— K.N.

the best scotch i have ever tasted ~~~ so far. try it with a chocolate desert and see how the dark roasted malt makes toffee and coffee explode out of this outstanding scotch.
I first tasted this wonderful single malt in Edinburgh last August at the Scotch Whiskey Experience...Glenmorangie was hosting a tasting of several single malts. I was captured at the first taste! This is the finest whiskey I've ever had!
Delicious, a friend introduced me to it a year or so ago and I've yet to find anything like it since.
This is a truely unique Single Malt. Unlike any Single Malt I have had in the past. You can read the professional reviews, but it has to be tasted to be appreciated

Technical Notes In 1999 Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s head of whisky creation, acquired the keys to a limited quantity of Sauternes barriques from the fabled vineyards of Chateau d’Yquem. This gave him an idea; what would happen if the exquisite 18-year-old vintage he had been patiently maturing were to be transferred into these famous barriques? The result of these 10 years of extra maturation is just 1,000 bottles of the oldest and very finest Glenmorangie vintage whisky.
