I ordered the 2005 Vintage of the Craggy Range Sophia, as advertiesed on the Wine Chateau website. It is a highly acclaimed vintage, even being compared to French Bordeaux's costing 10-20 times as much.
When my shipment arrived, I found I had received the 2004 vintage, with a note acknowledging(and justifying)the switch.
I wonder, if the 2005 was out of stock, why is it still offered for sale on the website?
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Wine Chateau? I am a new customer. Thanks, Ed
Hello Ed, I do apologize that you received the 2004 instead of 2005. From time to time a certain vintage of a specific wine that is listed on the website can go on back ordered and instead of keeping your order pending until the that vintage is back in stock, our wine specialists makes a recommendation and ships a equal or higher valued vintage at no extra cost. However, with Wine Chateau's return guarantee, it is no hassle to you to return the wine if disapproved by you. A pre-paid return label must have been include as well. Again, I do apologize for this and please feel free to return the package at no cost to you. I hope this helps :)
I still have the same problem with your online advertising.....
Here it is over 2 months later, and you're still advertising the 2005 on your website.
Does this mean you've found some of the 2005, or are you still substituting the 2004 for it??
If you have some of the 2005, then I'd like to get some.
I was about to order the "Spectator 97 point" Barossa you have advertised on special, but I held up because there's no guarantee I'll get what I ordered.
Also, when I called your customer service about this(the Sophia vintage) I was asked to leave my number, and "Someone will call you back"....
That never happened.
I continue to be disappointed with your customer care.
