Two Angels Divinity 2006 750ml

Two Angels Divinity

This first vintage of Divinity Rhone Blend is immediatelystriking, with aromas that are wonderfully complex andenjoyably intense. Hints of anise, blueberries and ripe plumpeek out from this rich mosaic of smells. On the palate, thiswine has a rich, full body and firm structure, but is balancedenough to fairly glide from entry to finish. Added flavors ofraspberry, cherry, Canadian bacon, sweet vanilla andintegrated fruit and oak components add to the tastingenjoyment.

The grapes for Two Angels come exclusively from therenowned Shannon Ridge Vineyards on extremely volcanic, red pumice stone terroir. Hugging the mountain rims along theeast edge of the new High Valley AVA at close to 2,200 feet(the highest vineyards in California), the area is reminiscent ofthe Rhone Valley’s Crozes-Hermitage vineyards. This vintagewas aged for 10 months in 70-percent French oak barrels andthe rest in American barrels (35-percent of the barrels werenew).
