We bought this wine in Memphis and brought several bottles back home to South Carolina. It is just about the best Chardonnay I have ever tasted. Nothing bitter, just smooth, light enjoyment. I have a couple bottles left, and will soon buy more. I just wish they sold it in Greenville, SC.
My husband and I were on Vacation in Cape Cod MA when we ran across this bottle and couldnt resist trying it. We shared the bottle beside the ocean with a lunch and it was absolutely wonderful! Needles to say , there was not a drop left!!! Only regret, we didnt buy more!!!!!!!
Citrus, pear and floral aromas, toasty oak with hints of butter and vanilla on the finish.
Wine Maker Notes
The Blue Suede Chardonnay shows early career Elvis and will be always a black & white image of Elvis from the 1950’s era with each edition change. "Blue Suede Shoes" has been called the first true rock 'n' roll hit, in the sense that it was an "all market" hit. Some R&B hits had sold well in the pop market, most notably Chuck Berry's "Maybellene”. Also, some country records had crossed over into the pop market, and Bill Haley had defined his own pop/R&B hybrid. But there had never been a record that had sold well in all three markets.
