Even though this wine is Volnay Santenots, it is produced from grapes grown entirely in Meursault. The vineyard is in the Les Petures lieu-dit, located at the southern end of Volnay and over the border into Les Santenots-du-Milieu. The vines were planted in 1970 to shallow, fine-grained red soils. Originally made from purchased fruit and bottled as Morey-Blanc, the wine has been bottled under the Domaine label since the 2004 vintage after the plot was purchased by the Morey family. Allying finesse, elegance and richness, Santenots is velvety, soft in the mouth and heady.
