Wine Maker Notes
This Shiraz is sourced from our McLaren Parish Vineyard in the classic Shirazregion of McLaren Vale, South Australia. In terms of quality, the 2006 vintage wasvery good, with Shiraz being the highlight of all varietals. After harvest, the grapeswere crushed, yeasted and pumped over in traditional style to avoid the extractionof bitter tannins. The wine was then transferred to new and seasoned French andAmerican oak for fermentation, followed by a further 14 months maturation prior tofinal blending and bottling.
This Shiraz should be enjoyed with hearty red meat dishes such as Beef Burgundyor Osso Buco.
