Tasting Notes One can appreciate all the subtlety and elegance of the Mencía grape.Visually it is an attractive cherry red colour, with violet tones aroundthe rim. In the nose it offers strong fruity aromas of raspberries andcherries, as well as flowery hints of violet, which form a harmoniousensemble with the wood with hints of liquorice, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, and spices. In the mouth it is smooth, full bodied, and elegant, with the characteristic traits of the Mencía grape blended with thetoasted flavours of the oak casks noticeable in the retronasal. It has a long and smooth finish. We recommend serving at 18ºC in afine large round glass.
