Sweet cherry and red fruits are underlined by fragrant notes of incense, mocha and lavenderPalateFresh fruit supports a crisp and crunch texture, with a long firm finish. Just a touch of the usual licorice note from our vineyard.
Tasting Notes Pinot Noir is hand-harvested from vines in our Marlborough vineyard, gently separated from the stems and fermented in small, traditional open-top vats. These vats are hand-plunged to extract colour and tannin, and after pressing the wine is aged in French oak barrels. Fruit-driven in style with soft tannins and spicy oak.
Wine Maker Notes Seven separate blocks from our own vineyards were hand picked and fermented in 5 and 3 tonne open vats. Fermentation started naturally with 'wild' yeasts, after which the wine was pressed off the skins and aged in oak barrles for 10 months.
