100% Barbera D’Asti grape from low yielding vineyards located in the villages of Vinchio and Vaglio Serra in the Monferrato appellation area of Piemonte. The soil is compact, clay and marl mixed with limestone.
Fermentation of must for 7 days in contact with the skins. Automatic recirculation of the must every 30 mnutes for optimum extraction of color. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 3 months, then 8 months in Central-Massif oak "barriques" and then rested in bottles before release. By law, the Superiore category must be aged for a total of at least 2 years. Alcohol of 13% with total acidity of 5.6.
