The Gewürztraminer benefited from the warmer growing season and developed a high level of ripeness. This varietal is at its best when the grapes are fully mature. A slow, cold fermentation helps to preserve its characteristic fruitiness. We ferment all our Gewürztraminer in stainless steel at temperatures ranging from 52° to 57° F. To maintain the fruit focus, the wine goes directly from stainless steel tank to bottle. The wine was bottled in January 2010.
