Jura Scotch Single Malt Prophecy 750ml

Jura Scotch Single Malt Prophecy

On the nose, Jura Prophecy offers a big whiff of peat smoke at smoke, eminently sure to please lovers of big smoky scotch. As the whisky begins to open, notes of nutmeg, allspice and a touch of sherry begin to emerge. Jura Prophecy is deliciously mouth coating. Not too thick or syrupy, nor thin and watery, Prophecy strikes just the perfect balance of weight on the tongue. At 46% abv, it makes me think Paterson took exceptional care to find just the right balance of alcohol, mouthfeel and finish. Jura Prophecy finishes quite dry, with another pronounced smoke note evident followed by complex spice notes and a bit of tobacco leaf at the end. Overall, Jura Prophecy is a fantastic selection for those who enjoy a fuller, smoky single malt Scotch whisky. Lovers of Islay malts will be pleased, as well as those that enjoy Jura but would like to expand their appreciation of this wonderful distillery.

The distillery on the Isle of Jura makes some of the most interesting single malt scotch whiskies in all of Scotland. If you enjoy big, rich, peated and complex single malt scotch whiskies, do not miss the opportunity to treat yourself to Jura Prophecy. Prophecy is the creation of Richard Paterson, the Master Blender for parent company White & Mackay, and it offers more peat than the typical Isle of Jura flavor profile.

Very similar to PC Peat Project, but more expensive. Very smoky and well peated with less complexity than standard Islay malts. Good but maybe not worth the price.
I am glad I tried it.
