brilliant straw-yellow colour with a green shimmer.Very fine, fruity (apples, peaches), uplifted varietal aromacombined with very well integrated oak spice on the nose.Clean, elegant, grapey flavour, medium bodied with a roundand fresh mouth-watering finish. When cellared well, this winemay be kept for 3 to 5 years.
The fruit was sourced from the Haberlehof estate vineyard above Salorno at analtitude of 480 to 520 metres (1,500 – 1,710 feet). Stony andsandy soil. Rather cool mesoclimate with important day andnight temperature variations.Age of the vines: 20 - 45 years.Harvested: 7 - 15 September 2009.Yield: 56 hl / ha.Vinification: fermented and aged on the fine lees for 3months in stainless steel tanks; this is followed by maturationfor 6 months.Alcohol: 12,5 % by vol.Acidity: 5.4 g / litre.Bottled: August 2010.
