Deep, dark and nearly opaque with a ruby edge, the 2007 Landslide offers up evocative aromas of chocolate laced with cinnamon, blackberry, plum, black cherry and exotic wood spice. On the palate, a velvety entry is followed by concentrated black cherry and red plum fruit accented with toffee. It finishes with a hint of roasted coffee. Supple tannins add depth and length. This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with filet mignon with Cabernet mushroom sauce or pan-roasted chicken with Swiss chard, pancetta and onions in creamy polenta.
It has been a long standing tradition at Simi to produce the best Sonoma County wines sourcing fruit from top Sonoma County growing regions. Our Sonoma County Chardonnay is blended from grapes grown in the Russian River and Carneros appellations. Simi's Sauvignon Blanc is produced from Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley and Knights Valley benchland grapes. Simi also produces Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley, a world-famous appellation for extraordinary Zinfandel. Looking to the future, Simi Winery will continue its devotion to producing wines of style and quality that reflect the best growing regions in Sonoma County.
