Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Grandi Annate

A lovely medium ruby red with an intense and complex bouquet redolent of orange peel, red berries, violets, fern and Indian spices. Its earthy aromas have a touch of cedar. Elegant and polished tannins with firm acidity and a long, enticing finish.

Silky and elegant, offering notes of red berries, orange peel and violets laced with hints of Indian spices, cedar and earth. Expressive and deep flavors mesh effortlessly with fine, longgrained tannins on the complex and persistent finish.

(85% Prugnolo Gentile/15% Cabernet Sauvignon) The grapes were from 10-35 year old vines planted on layers of clay, sand and limestone with alkaline top soils. The best estate fruit from Le Capezzine and I Poggetti was macerated on its skins for 20- 25 days in oak and aged for 30 months in new French barriques.
