Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Tillets 2009 750ml

Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Tillets

The nose is expressive, marked by aromas of white flowers, yellow and white fruit as well as lightly spicy notes. The nose is complex with great elegance. The palate is round with lovely vivacity and excellent aromatic freshness as well as minerality. This is a wine with a great deal of finesse and persistence on the palate that doesna t conceal its power. Elegant and linear, its style is between a classic Meursault and a Puligny-Montrachet.

Les Tillets is above Meursault, near the mountain exposed south/south-east. The vines are on slopes. The nature of the topsoil is clayey and brown limestone over hard limestone. This wine comes from six parcels of the same vineyard. The age of the vines is from 30 to 70 ans. Tillet was a kind of medieval lime tree that was found surrounding vineyards. Les Tillets is above Meursault near the mountain.
