Wine Maker Notes
This silky and substantial red wine is made from 100% Sagrantino, a highly-esteemed grape indigenous to the Montefalco area of Umbria. Locals unanimously agree that the variety is at its finest in the hills surrounding Gualdo Cattaneo. Here, the combination of microclimate, elevation, and unique soils makes it possible to obtain wines of truly exceptional character. The wine name and label pay tribute to Riccardo Cotarella’s father and first grandson.
Pair with roasted pork, Hollandaise sauces, pasta with truffles and cream sauce, or artisanal sausages.
