The name Farnito is derived from a type of oak tree known as “Farna” found in the vicinity of the vineyards. Carpineto Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon is produced with grapes from the winery’s Gaville and Chianciano/Montepulciano estates. The grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately in stainless steel and blended together to age in oak. The wine is then bottle aged.
