Santa Margherita Chardonnay 2010 750ml

Santa Margherita Chardonnay

A crisp, vibrant wine with pleasing fragrances of flowers over Golden Delicious apple-led white-fleshed fruits. Fresh-tasting poise and caressing texture are braced by dynamic vibrancy that prolongs the subtle perceptions of fruit.

Dry, lively wine, slightly petillant, with a slight nose of golden delicious apples and a hint of honey. The taste is harmonious and lasting.

A versatile wine, excellent as an aperitif, suitable for a light or vegetarian meal, and with fish. Excellent with crudités but also with more elaborate dishes such as fish risotto.

In 1981 Santa Margherita presented its own Chardonnay, a new, fine white wine with a different style. It had a younger, fruitier taste than the other Chardonnay available, which generally favoured the use of malolactic fermentation and a finishing process in French oak cask.

After soft pressing, the must is left to ferment for 15 days at 18° C. The wine is then stored at a controlled temperature of 15° - 16° C. in special stainless-steel tanks until bottling.
