Pale yellow. Pungent, sexy aromas of lemon, nectarine, white grapefruit, crushed mint, anise and spring flowers. Supple, juicy and penetrating, with a musky complexity to the citrus zest and ripe grapefruit flavors. Conveys a tactile impression of extract without weight. Vibrant and well-delineated sauvignon with excellent balancing acidity. The brisk, persistent, palate-dusting finish shows a refreshing touch of bitterness. This is excellent.

Notes on the Capture Sauvignon Blanc Les Pionniers 750ML 2010

Tasting Notes Hints of ripe pears with a floral touch of orangeblossom. The wine has extraordinary balance and a long finish, where the minerality declares it a "vin de terroir”.Try this wine well chilled, and then enjoy its shifting complexity as the wine slowly warms.

Technical Notes Grapes were selected from several distinct Sonoma County hillside vineyards. The soils range from volcanic clayto gravelly clay-loam, which supply rich nutrients and stable organic materials. The loam soil is ideal for filtrationand drainage of the land. After destemming, the must is kept on the skins for a 12 hour cold soak. Fermented instainless steel and aged 5 months on the lees with weekly stirring.
