Notes on the Beringer Vineyards Pinot Grigio 750ML 2010

Tasting Notes A refreshing bite of juicy white peach and citrus, finishing with a flintyminerality. It pairs well with the hot days and warm nights of summer - asa pre-dinner sipper or with fresh salads and grilled chicken.

Wine Maker Notes The grapes for Beringer’s Pinot Grigio come fromvineyards along California’s coast where cool Pacific breezes temper warmdays to create ideal growing conditions for this delicatevarietal. The essential balance between long, warm daysand cool evenings allow the grapes to fully ripen anddevelop fragrant fruit characteristics while retaining alively balancing acidity and minerality. Additionally, thedry summers that stretch without rain from Aprilthrough October allow the grapes a long, even growingseason to build multiple layers of complex flavors.

When making the Beringer PinotGrigio, Beringer’s winemaking team focused on therefreshing crisp minerality and fruity peach undertonesfor which the varietal is known. Following harvest, thegrapes were gently crushed and immediately pressed tominimize skin contact. A cool-fermentation followed in stainless steel toretain the Pinot Grigio’s bright, fruit forward character.
