The 2008 Pinot Noir Hometown is an attractive, entry-level Pinot laced with sweet berries, crushed flowers and spices. The aromas and flavors are nicely woven together in a pretty, delicate fabric. The Hometown finishes with excellent length and fine overall balance. It is one of the simpler wines in the line-up, but at the same time, one of the most harmonious bottles I tasted from the estate, not to mention an excellent value
”HOMETOWN” is our early bottling of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir that showcases the delicious fruit of young Pinot, and the balance and seduction of the 2008 vintage. This three valley blend replaces the Cork Dancer 7.1, with grapes sourced from the same vineyards near Los Alamos, Santa Maria, and Sta. Rita Hills. We are excited with our first Pinot Noir that we made at the ultra-modern Terravant Wine Company in Buellton.
Fresh and exciting style Pinot Noir; bright cherry aromas with just a hint of clove spice; medium bodied, ripe berry flavors that linger throughout the glass, truly a great value.
